After a week of sulking, 3 good news kind of balance it off and make the start of the week so much brighter.
Although I need to wake up as early as 5a.m tomorrow morning to find my way to Jurong Camp for Parade, it pays off with a half day off after the Parade.. Woo! Extremely elated! At first I was still worried whether I can make it to the Airport to fetch xiao bai or not. Haha! No more worries coz' I will be there...
Its another day off on Thursday. So I must plan some activities to ensure it is well spent. 27th is the Legendary 21 click Army Half Marathon. 28th is another off day. Oh god, I just love off days. It just keeps coming.
This is an extremely good news and somewhat makes ny NS journey for the next 1 year less dull. I will be promoted to 3rd Sergeant wef 9 Sep 2006. This marks 1 year exactly on the day I enlisted. What a surprise!!! Although this could possibly means higher expectations from us, the $130 pay increment definitely off trade those hectic workload and sweat. You know 3 of us gets promoted faster than our previous batch of seniors, which means there's a bit of jealousy and gossips on going at the moment. Previously, we got promoted to Corporal just within a week during our OJE period while they slogged for almost 4 months before they got it. Oh well, blame those upper management. Its none of our business, really.
